GIVING
Proverbs 3:9
"Honor the Lord with your wealth and win the best part of everything you produce."
Giving at UCHP is a practice of care and commitment.
Our financial support sustains worship, strengthens our ministries, and allows us to respond to real needs - both within the congregation and in the wider community.
We give because this work takes shared investment, and because showing up faithfully, in tangible ways, is part of how we live out our values.

MEET OUR PASTOR
Rev. Dr. Dawnn M. Pirani Brumfield
Rev. Dr. Dawnn M. Pirani Brumfield serves as the Designated Term Pastor of United Church of Hyde Park, beginning March 1, 2025. Her call to UCHP grew out of a shared commitment to thoughtful faith, community engagement, and a church that takes both people and place seriously.
Pastor Dawnn is both an ordained pastor and a mental health clinician, and her ministry lives at the intersection of faith, emotional well-being, and justice. That integrated lens aligns closely with UCHP’s longstanding identity as a church rooted in social responsibility, intellectual rigor, and care for the whole person. She believes the church is strongest when spiritual life and mental health are held together - not separated - and when worship leads naturally into action.
Her pastoral leadership is shaped by years of work in congregational ministry, clinical practice, and community-based mental health advocacy, particularly within historically marginalized communities. At UCHP, this translates into a steady, grounded approach to leadership that values honesty, accountability, and meaningful partnership—both within the congregation and beyond it.
United Church of Hyde Park is a community where questions are welcomed, differences are honored, and relationships matter. Whether you are looking for a church home, a place to serve, or simply a community where you can show up as you are, you are invited to be part of life at UCHP. Pastor Dawnn and the UCHP community welcome you to join us in worship, service, and shared life.
